Amyloidosis
SALONS DE ROMREE, GRIMBERGEN
Systemic amyloidosis (AA, AL and ATTR) is a group of diseases in which abnormal proteins build up in tissue. There are many different ways of manifestation of this disease. The diagnosis is complex, but important for correct treatment. Systemic amyloidosis requires a multidisciplinary collaboration between different medical specialists. With this symposium we want to bring different specialists together to provide state-of-the-art insights in pathogenesis, diagnosis and management of amyloidosis.

“The implementation of therapies with entirily new modes of action has substantially improved the quality of life and prognosis of most TTR-FAP patients. Real-world data and ideally head-to-head studies should allow clinicians to choose the best treatment option for a given patient and lead to more personalized medicine”
